Pickle cat resting. On Monday he had another seizure related to his failing kidneys. He's lost weight which is very bad when combined with his failing kidneys and seizures. The good news is that Pickle cat has a lot of fight in him - he's not giving up. But, he is willing to starve himself until he can eat food he prefers so I'm no longer feeding him the best food for his failing kidneys. Another vet visit next week. Try to get his weight up. Pickle cat really likes this part. I'm loving the cat and that's about all that can be done.

Last week we discovered that cat Midnight knows how to pose for a purrfect portrait! Cat Silver demonstrated the "cat loaf" pose. Cuidado shares a lovely photo of a cat and the sad story of the cat pictured. Theresa presents a slide show of the Zoo with all the animals pictured! Karen has a "Finnish Lapphund" dog! Pepper's got breeding! Dog Cayenne wants in on the photos too! a great bunch of cats, dogs and birds!

Drop off your links by next Friday and don’t worry about deadlines cause Friday is all about those pets!

From Sunday's jaunt to Longwood. Weeds, basically, but they are fun to compose on. Put a little depth in background. I still find hills to be surprising things. The weather this week is foul so I'm very glad to have something recently shot. Ice tonight but it'll be gone by morning. Had a scare with Pickle cat and it's posted on my other blog.

Out shooting today. Yay! About time too. Between the weather and a rather nasty cold spell I've been missing time with the camera. Dropped a 140 frames at Longwood this afternoon. Had a good time and most importantly - I dressed for the weather. Picked up some keepers and if nothing else attracts my eye this week you'll see a few.

Photos served fresh daily off the camera...

I'm currently shooting with a Canon XSi and a Canon S5 IS.

In the past I've used a Canon S2 IS and a Canon A70. Those shots are located in my archives on flickr or in the archives of my old photoblog.

I like to shoot daily so most subjects are what I see each day. As close to fresh off the camera as possible.

I also keep another (sometimes)blog with less photos and more words!
